New Ridge Technologies (NRT) develops and manufactures test and measurement equipment, as well as advanced fiber optic subsystems, primarily for telecommunication applications. We strive to work closely with our customers to provide them the best products and customized development services anywhere. These close customer relationships have been responsible for upgrades over the years and nearly all new products. We have built our strong reputation customer by customer, interaction by interaction, design by design.

NRT’s founding products, Polarization Mode Dispersion Sources, were recognized as the ‘Cadillac’ of PMD sources.

More recently NRT product lines have diversified to include products for polarization control, polarimetry and spectral analysis for table top lab use, field applications and OEM solutions.

HY_092017_2535New Ridge Technologies, LLC was founded in 2003 by Dr. Henry Yaffe. Dr. Yaffe serves as the President of NRT, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the company. He has over 25 years of experience in advanced technologies and business.

Before NRT, Yaffe was the founder of YAFO Networks, where he led the development of PMD compensation and technologies as chairman, CEO and CTO.Prior to YAFO, he had various responsibilities for network systems and optical technologies at CIENA. Yaffe has also held technical positions with Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ and Norcross, GA.

Dr. Yaffe has a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Applied Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, and a B.A. from Swarthmore College.
